Great Condo
Very clean, well furnished condo in quiet location. Comfortable beds. Easy walk to stores, restaurants and pub (which has great oyster shooters, drinks and variety of games for evening entertainment). Host immediately responded and resolved any issues or questions which arose upon arrival and during our stay. (The king bed had not been separated and we couldn't figure out the air conditioning unit.) The accommodations fit our family nicely.

Wonderful experience
We could not have asked for more comfortable accomodations. The condo was immaculate and left nothing to be desired. The location was perfect and we really enjoyed walking the Sellwood neighborhood. Many shops and restaurants in walking distance and not difficult to get to just about any place you wanted to go in the Portland area. We enjoyed the off street parking with guest slots as we had family in the area. We have frequently used VRBO for rentals and this one rates at the top of our experiences. Many thanks to owners for making our stay very memorable.

The Perfect Place in Portland
Our stay in SE Portland could not have been more perfect! The condo is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. It was quiet, convenient to family and friends, within walking distance to the Sellwood river park, and near good restaurants, and cute shops to browse.

We were greeted with fresh flowers and a bottle of wine which we felt was such a nice touch. The beds and linens were top quality and the kitchen was very well stocked with anything you could possibly need to entertain friends and family. They provide free wifi, a multifunctional printer which comes in handy for printing boarding passes and maps. Netflix / Hulu and Comcast cable is available as well as laundry facilities in the unit.

The owners were very gracious, and willing to help at every turn. They responded to all of our questions and requests within minutes and they made us feel like family. I highly recommend this rental property and will definitely stay here again. Thank you for sharing this beautiful condo!

Perfect property , perfect hosts
I'd recommend this rental to anyone planning a trip to Portland. Located in the center of one Portland's most beautiful neighborhoods, this immaculate but comfortable apartment is only a couple blocks from some of the best area cafes shops and restaurants. The owners were terrific to deal with and they've done everything to make the place feel like home. Thank you!

A hidden gem in Portland
Let me start by saying that the owners of this property are some of the kindest people I have come across. They are extremely thoughtful and made sure that we had everything we needed for our stay with our 1 year old. They provided a high chair and pack n play but the kitchen is also stocked with children's plates, bowls cups and even tupperware, which I wholly appreciated. The condo, itself was wonderful -- located on a quiet street, but only steps from the best area for shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and a large natural market. The area is extremely walkable, with picturesque streets, friendly neighbors, lots of families, two beautiful parks and access to recreation trails along the river.

Convenient to the westside, all you need to do is drive a few blocks and you're heading over the bridge and can be in downtown Portland, the zoo, japanese gardens or otherwise in just minutes!

We truly enjoyed our stay, to say the least! And if you are a coffee person, the cafe around the corner on 13th is one of the best we've ever been to!

Perfectly Perfect
Absolutley the perfect place to stay if your looking for a home away from home in Portland. So close to everything. Absolutley wonderful neighborhood. The weather was fantastic. The condo is furnished so darn cute. Completely stocked, you don't have to worry about TP, paper towels, fabric sheets or anything. John and family really thought of everything for a comfortable and amazing stay, I will absolutley stay there again when in the area. From my family to yours John I thank you! Christine Ps. Check out Cha Chas for yummy Mexican food, the enchiladas are fabulous, coming from California myself I was pleasantly surprised. And for adrenalin junkies High Life adventure tours, great guys over there for zip line tours.

Fantastic find in a great community!
We loved the Portland House in Sellwood. We have been to Portland several times and were looking to have a quick relaxing getaway. John was very accommodating - checking in with us upon arrival and answering all our questions. The booking process was quick and easy.

We were very pleased with the location of the house. We love navigating and exploring new areas and Sellwood did not disappoint. Within walking distance we had great local coffee shops, restaurants and stores. The Either/Or coffee shop was awesome and it was 30 seconds away. Everyone we met at the various shops and stores was very friendly and willing to chat about any recommendations in the area.

The house itself was the perfect size for us (family of four with a five year old and baby) and had great amenities. Loved the smart tv so we could watch Netflix after the kiddies went to bed, and the kitchen was well stocked. We cooked up breakfast every morning but couldn't resist the local spots to eat throughout the day.

Overall, we would definitely recommend this house to any of our friends. Thank John for being so accommodating!

Beautiful Stay
I loved staying here for my week long visit to Portland. It is further away from downtown so you will need a car , but is a quiet and beautiful neighborhood. My plans for my trip were to travel from the coast to Mt. Hood, and all over the downtown area, so this was a nice retreat to rest in between. John was an excellent host and communicated often via email and even called after I booked it. I loved Portland, and when I come back I hope to stay here again.

Great place to stay
We had a great time. The property is situated just a few miles southeast and across the river from downtown, but getting into downtown by car was never a problem. There were three of us this trip, and the condo was a great size with room for each of us to spread out. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the place is kept very neat and tidy. The décor is welcoming and inviting, with good lighting and comfortable beds. The neighborhood is cozy and fairly quiet with many restaurants and shops within a few blocks. The condo is zoned for both heat and AC (very rare for this town) and each room has its own thermostat. The one complaint we really had is that the water heater is set a bit low. Though none of us ever ran out of heated water, you can't really take a super-hot shower. The parking is wonderful - a dedicated spot right out front with easy in/out. The condo is up one flight of stairs so it wouldn't be suitable for someone who cannot handle steps. We would happily stay here again.

Perfect Place in Sellwood
My stay at the Sellwood condo was fantastic. John, the owner, was friendly and very accommodating in making sure I had everything I needed. The condo was spacious and modern-- with lots of electrical outlets, flat screen TV, etc. The kitchen was well equipped with all the cooking utensils, plates, glasses you could need. The condo was set back from the street, so it was quiet. There was plenty of off-street parking. The home was clean, modern, safe and comfortable. I was visiting friends and would stay there again for sure.

The Perfect Place in Sellwood
We had a great time in the Sellwood house. John, the owner, was very nice and responded quickly to all questions. The location is great and very close to Sellwood stores and restaurants. Also very easy to get to the rest of Portland. The Condo is newer then many Sellwood rentals so more set up for modern living like lots of electrical outlets. Very good windows for sun so the place is light and the second floor allows window coverings to be open and still have privacy. It is set back from the street so quiet. We rarely heard any neighbors. The kitchen was well supplied and we had all the cooking utensils we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the living room had comfortable chairs. The condo felt like home, not another Ikea furnished rental. We will definitely be back

Wonderful immaculate condo in Sellwood
This condo is a pleasure the minute you open the door. It is clean, nicely furnished, including the kitchen, and ready to enjoy. It is very convenient and very walkable in trendy fun Sellwood, and it is a straight route across the bridge into the city of Portland. Portland is a unique city with lots of activities indoors and outdoors. The numerous eateries, parks and trails are a few of the things to enjoy most of the year. Most importantly, a pleasant , peaceful place to stay always makes a stay away from home better, this is what we found in the condo. Would always want to stay here each visit to Portland. Thanks to out gracious hosts.

Wonderful cozy condo in Sellwood!
This is a great spot in Sellwood/Westmoreland and a good jumping off point for exploring Portland. The condo itself is updated, modern, and looks every bit as nice as the pictures. The kitchen is well-equipped, so you can whip up a meal and dine in if you want, but you are also within a block of a great local café in Either/Or (and very close to a less-exciting but predictable Starbucks), and within easy walking distance of several restaurants, food trucks, pubs and a nice but smaller New Seasons grocery store.

The owner, John, is extremely responsive and helpful, and the “instruction manual” for the house is comprehensive and easy to understand.

For families with young children, Westmoreland Park is a somewhat long walk away, but it has recently been redone, and the play area is excellent – full of rocks to climb, trees to balance on and a variety of other quasi-natural features to enjoy.

The only potential challenge here is that to check out the rest of the city, you’ll probably want a car until the MAX line opens in late 2015 (there are cabs, but this isn’t NYC). If you have a car, you can be almost anywhere in the city within 20 minutes, and street parking is as easy as I’ve seen in almost any city.
